Hydrosep String Wound Cartridges are made of FDA grade material of pure Polypropylene fiber wound onto Polypropylene or 304 stainless steel cores. The cartridges can be used in most areas where chemical compatibility is of concern. Special materials are available for high temperature or unusual aggressive applications.
Filter construction: The fiber had been precisely interlaced string together to form a true gradient density from outer to the inner surface, which provides efficient and cost effective filter cartridges. Hydrosep wound depth cartridges offer a gradual pressure increase over
cartridge life versus surface media that have an abrupt flow cut-off when loaded. The larger particles are trapped at the surface of the cartridge and build up a pre-cake, whilst the smaller particles are trapped within the cartridge filter as they go down the "tortuous path" created by the wound pattern which varies with each micron rating.
String wound plus Activated carbon dual-cartridge is also available to remove unpleasant tastes and odor.
